Wedding Ideas: Dessert Table

I have a horrible sweet tooth. It is pretty bad and I wish at times it would go away LOL.  However, I must share the new spin on the traditional wedding cake, dessert table.  Some Brides are opting for not just a cake but a plethora of desserts or no wedding cake at all.  Amy Atlas of Amy Atlas Events is the leader in this emerging trend.  If you are in love with sweets as I am, check out the eye candy:

Etsy Find: Peppermint Pretty

I am currently obsessed with tea length wedding gowns. I love shoes and wearing a full length ball gown of a dress does not show off the fabulous shoes the bride wears. I came across Peppermint Pretty a designer on Etsy that make 1950's vintage style of wedding gowns and go figure, she have tea length! Erin Coleman is the designer and her pin-up style of designing I am in love with. Check her out and look at these fab finds:

Wedding Ideas: Lux Event Rentals

Furniture at a wedding? I would do it, think about it posh loveseats, chairs, end tables and cabanas to top off your beautiful invites. Signature Event Rentals offers exceptional furniture rentals but of course only in LA, NYC and Dallas, WTH! Even thought they are not in Ohio, it is good to look at their gallery to get ideas. Check out some of the pics I snagged from their site:

Rained out Wedding:

Awe boo my cousin's wedding got rained on. Of all the days in the hot as a hooker in Sunday school August weather we've been having, it had to rain on the 14th of 2010. She planned a backyard reception and we spent all morning putting up the lanterns and putting the centerpieces just right and just as the Davis' finished saying their 'I dos', it rained on all of our hard work. But we had fun…all the food was moved to the inside and we kicked it off family style. In the end it was a truly a beautiful day. Congrats LaTonya and Jermaine.
ps
when I finally get married, no outside reception…maybe Jamaica?

Etsy Find: Tallulah Opal

Again I LOVE Etsy! I get so inspired by the crafty community. Today I stumbled upon Tallulah Opal; this shop's vintage style handmade flowers with beadwork are absolutely beautiful. I can see this pair of flowers pinned in a bride's hair or even for everyday wear (I like to mix up casual and dressy attire). Check out Tallulah Opal's shop on Etsy.

Wedding Planners: Your Daily Wed

My cousin LaTonya is getting married this weekend and I am surprising her with this Wish Tree...I renamed 'marriage blessings.' I can't wait until I post the pictures! Check out my inspiration and Your Daily Wed's post on the Wish Tree.

Your Daily Wed: Wish Tree...the outcome: "A few posts back we wrote about guest book alternatives and mentioned that we had a wedding that would be doing a wish tree. Well, here is t..."

A Creative Marriage

I have always had a love for paper and all things creative but it wasn't until my mom married my step-dad that I 'married' the two together.  I was searching for an invitation for them and came across really beautiful and highly priced invites.  I saw a pocketfold invite and thought to myself, "I can do that."  So over the years I developed my resources and skills.  I love getting others' style out and onto paper.  I especially love when people open an invite for the first time and get excited.  This to me is what an invitation does, excite people to want to come to an event.  Not to mention my Marketing & Communication degree needs some mileage thus comes eleven35!  This invitation I created for a close family friend last year...This blog is dedicated to all things creative!  I will explore creative shops such as Etsy, weddings (no I'm not engaged or nor am I married...hell I don't even have a BF), and DIY projects but most of all I will share my creative process when I create invitations.  I am hoping to have contests as well!

Etsy Find: Fabuluster!

Everyone that enters into our lives leaves an impressionable imprint on us. I love Etsy for its creative community and Fabuluster is an awesome addition. The dynamic dual creates unique fingerprint jewelry to include wedding bands and necklaces. They even have a custom pendant made with baby toes! How cute! The process seems simple, they send you a kit, you send it back to them and then they create your jewelry out of precious metals.
